The Hané Festival —
A Native American
Storytelling Gathering

The 3rd Annual Hané Festival will be held Friday, November 13 through
Sunday, November 15, 2009

in Gallup, New Mexico
at the First United Methodist Church


The

will feature

Kupuna and Kumu
from the Department
of Education/Central District Hawaiian Studies Program
and the Oahu Halau Na Lei Nani O Waialua

Driving Directions
Coming into Gallup from the east on I-40

  • Take exit #26/I-40
    (first Gallup exit)
  • Turn left on NM 118 (Hwy 66)
    - go 2.3 miles
  • Turn left on S. Boardman Ave
    - go 2.6 miles
    (a Subway and McDonalds are at this intersection, you will pass a Lota Burger, Wendy's, Sonic & Burger King before getting to Boardman. If you pass a Papa John's Pizza, Albertsons, Pizza Hut, Earls you have gone too far)
  • Turn right on College Dr.
    - go 0.3 miles
    (there is UNM-Gallup to your left and a Baptist Church at this intersection)
  • Turn right on Nizhoni Blvd
    - go one block,
    (the Indian Health Service Hospital is to your left and the church is to your right at this intersection),
  • The church is on the southeast corner of Nizhoni Blvd. and Red Rock Dr.
  • The entrance is on the east side of the building, There is a parking lot on that side.
